Final Light has no account, no advertising and no tracking. The places you choose and your settings stay on your device, and your position is used only on your device, only when you ask for it.

What is stored on your device

The app saves the following in the storage of your browser or app. It never leaves your device:

• your last chosen course or town (name and coordinates)
• locations you saved as favourites
• course profiles you saved (holes, pace, terrain, walking settings)
• settings of the After Work Planner
• your light or dark mode choice

You can delete all of it by clearing the site data of your browser or by uninstalling the app. There is no account and nothing to delete on a server.

Your position

The app asks for your position only after you tap “Courses near me” or “Use my current position”. It is used on your device to find nearby courses, rounded to about 110 metres, and it is not sent anywhere. Only the course you pick is saved.

What is loaded when you use the website

The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, the hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address and the requested file in order to deliver the pages. The hosting provider may keep this data in ordinary server logs. Final Light adds no analytics, no cookies, no advertising and no third-party scripts, fonts or images.

The golf course and town data is part of the app. It is loaded from final-light.com, not from a map or search service. Sun times and time zones are calculated on your device.

Links to other sites

Links you tap, for example to OpenStreetMap to report a course, to licence texts or to Buy Me a Coffee, open other websites. Those sites have their own privacy policies.

Data sources

• Course data © OpenStreetMap contributors, licensed under the Open Database Licence (ODbL).
• Town data from GeoNames, licensed under CC BY 4.0, filtered and converted.

Mobile apps and purchases

The mobile apps work the same way. If paid features are added later, purchases will be handled by Apple or Google and by a payment service provider, and this page will be updated before that happens.

Your rights

Because Final Light holds no personal data about you, there is usually nothing to access or delete. If you have a question about privacy, use the contact address above.

If this page changes, the date at the top changes too.
